Hilton Honors members are getting another group of hotels where they can earn and redeem points, but this rollout requires a little more attention than a normal new-brand announcement.

YOTEL properties officially began joining Hilton on July 15, 2026, as the first hotel brand under the newly created Select by Hilton umbrella.

The important detail is that the transition is happening one hotel at a time. A YOTEL property is not automatically eligible for Hilton Honors benefits simply because the partnership has started.

Some hotels will be added during July, others during August or September, and several airport-focused properties are being held for a future phase that does not yet have a confirmed launch date.

That means travelers should verify the status of the individual hotel before expecting points, elite-night credit or Hilton Honors benefits.

What Is Select by Hilton?

Select by Hilton is a new Hilton brand designed to connect established independent hotel brands with Hilton’s booking platform and loyalty program.

YOTEL is the first brand to join.

This does not mean Hilton has purchased YOTEL or that every property is being converted into a conventional Hilton hotel. YOTEL remains independently owned and operated, and Hilton says the brand will retain its existing design, technology and service style.

The practical change is distribution. Once a participating YOTEL enters Hilton’s system, guests can book it through Hilton’s website and app while accessing Hilton Honors earning, redemptions and eligible member benefits.

For Hilton, the agreement adds a group of smaller, technology-focused hotels in urban centers and airports. For YOTEL, the deal provides access to Hilton’s reservation system and nearly 250 million Hilton Honors members.

When Will YOTEL Hotels Join Hilton?

The transition started on July 15 and will continue in phases through the summer.

YOTEL says most participating properties should be integrated by mid-September 2026. Hilton’s original announcement used the broader target of having the first hotels available through Hilton channels later in 2026, but YOTEL has since provided a more specific rollout window.

YOTEL Miami is among the first properties identified as eligible for Hilton Honors earning.

As additional hotels are transferred into Hilton’s systems, their direct reservations should become eligible for Hilton Honors points and benefits.

Which YOTEL Properties Are Not Joining Yet?

Most traditional YOTEL properties are expected to join during the first phase, but YOTEL has identified several exceptions.

The following properties are not included in the initial rollout:

• YOTELAIR Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
• YOTELAIR Istanbul Airport
• YOTELAIR London Gatwick Airport
• YOTELAIR Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
• YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport
• YOTEL Istanbul Airport
• YOTEL Manchester Deansgate

YOTEL says it intends to integrate those hotels during a second phase, but it has not provided a target date.

This is particularly important for travelers interested in YOTELAIR, the company’s short-stay airport concept. Those locations can be useful during long connections, overnight layovers or early departures, but they should not currently be treated as Hilton Honors properties unless Hilton or YOTEL later confirms otherwise.

How Hilton Honors Will Work at YOTEL

Once a property completes the transition, Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and redeem points on eligible direct bookings.

Members should also receive qualifying stay and night credit along with the Hilton Honors benefits offered by the participating property and applicable membership tier.

Hilton has created a dedicated Select by Hilton page where members can review participating properties as they become available.

Book Through an Eligible Direct Channel

YOTEL repeatedly describes direct bookings as the qualifying path for Hilton Honors benefits.

The safest approach is to book through Hilton after the property appears in Hilton’s system. A direct booking through YOTEL may also qualify once the hotel has transitioned, but travelers should confirm that their Hilton Honors number is attached and that the reservation appears in their Hilton account.

Reservations made through online travel agencies or other third-party channels generally should not be expected to receive Hilton Honors points or elite benefits.

Point Redemption Pricing Has Not Been Standardized

Hilton has not published a separate YOTEL award chart.

As with most Hilton properties, the number of points required is expected to vary by hotel, date and cash rate. Travelers should compare the points price with the refundable cash rate rather than assuming every YOTEL redemption provides good value.

For example, using 50,000 Hilton points to avoid a $150 room rate produces a very different result than using the same number of points for a $300 stay.

Calculate the value before booking:

Taxes and resort or destination fees should also be considered when comparing a paid rate with a points reservation.

Elite Benefits May Vary by Property

Hilton Honors has said participating YOTEL properties will provide member benefits aligned with Hilton’s elite-tier structure.

However, Hilton and YOTEL have not publicly provided a simple universal chart showing exactly which benefits every YOTEL must offer at each tier.

That distinction matters because YOTEL operates differently from a full-service Hilton, Conrad or Waldorf Astoria. Many YOTEL rooms are compact, some hotels have limited food-and-beverage service, and airport properties may be designed around short stays rather than traditional overnight accommodations.

Gold and Diamond members should review the benefits shown during booking and confirm property-specific details before relying on breakfast, upgrades, credits or late checkout.

What Happens to Existing YOTEL Reservations?

Existing direct reservations are not being canceled or automatically rebooked.

YOTEL says a reservation made directly through its website can become eligible for Hilton Honors points and benefits after the specific hotel moves into Hilton’s system.

If the reservation information matches the traveler’s Hilton Honors account, the stay should appear automatically after the hotel completes its transition.

If it does not appear, the member can contact Hilton Reservations and Customer Care.

The key requirements are:

• The reservation was booked directly with YOTEL
• The hotel has completed its Hilton integration before the stay
• The guest information matches the Hilton Honors account
• The Hilton Honors number is properly associated with the reservation

Because the rollout is still in progress, save the original booking confirmation and take screenshots of any displayed Hilton Honors eligibility before checking in.

What Happened to YOTEL Club?

YOTEL Club officially closed on July 15, 2026.

Former YOTEL Club members are being encouraged to join Hilton Honors and may have received a targeted welcome offer directly from YOTEL.

The two programs are not identical. Previous YOTEL Club benefits do not simply transfer one-for-one into Hilton Honors.

YOTEL says existing Club benefits remain attached to qualifying direct reservations until the relevant hotel joins Hilton. After the transition, Hilton Honors becomes the primary loyalty program.

Travelers who belonged to both programs should not assume that their accounts have been combined automatically. Check the email address associated with each account and confirm that future reservations display the correct Hilton Honors number.

Where Can You Find YOTEL Hotels?

YOTEL’s existing portfolio includes traditional city hotels, airport hotels and apartment-style YOTELPAD properties.

The addition is unlikely to transform Hilton’s geographic footprint on its own, but it can provide useful alternatives in expensive cities where traditional Hilton award rates may be high.

YOTEL’s compact-room model may also work well for solo travelers, short city stays and overnight stops when location matters more than room size.

Is a YOTEL Redemption Likely to Be a Good Deal?

Possibly, but this is a situation where the numbers matter more than the logo.

A YOTEL could be a useful Hilton redemption when:

• Comparable hotels in the city are unusually expensive
• The YOTEL location reduces transportation costs
• You need only a short overnight stay
• The points price is low relative to the cash rate
• A points booking avoids meaningful taxes or destination fees

Paying cash may be the better option when:

• The room rate is already inexpensive
• The redemption requires an unusually large number of points
• You want to earn points and elite-night credit
• A non-Hilton promotion or direct YOTEL rate is substantially cheaper

Hilton points are relatively easy to earn, but that does not make every Hilton redemption valuable. Compare the complete cost before confirming the stay.

Getting to the Point(s)

YOTEL joining Hilton Honors is a useful expansion for travelers who already collect Hilton points, especially in cities where YOTEL offers a well-located alternative to larger traditional hotels.

The rollout is not complete, though.

Participating hotels are entering Hilton’s system in phases between July and September 2026. Several YOTELAIR and airport properties are excluded from the first phase, and there is no confirmed timeline for when those locations will join.

Before booking, confirm that the individual hotel is live on Hilton’s website, attach your Hilton Honors number and save the reservation details. Existing direct YOTEL bookings may qualify after the property transitions, but they should be checked rather than assumed.

Once the rollout is complete, the partnership should give Hilton members more choices in city centers and airport markets. For now, the opportunity is real—but eligibility remains property-specific.
